For the first time, COMISS met virtually for the 2021 Forum. With an attendance of around fifty-five, all of the regular features of the Forum were accomplished—education, fellowship and business meeting. As we have all experienced in the last year, what we missed was the opportunity for informal conversations and connections.

Dr. Tammerie Day, Chaplain Educator, UNC Healthcare, NC, presented the program entitled “Social Location and Power in Ministry: From Theory to Action.” It was an informative and challenging presentation that was well received by the attendees and prompted meaningful discussion and sharing. Darryl Owens assumed the position of Chair of the COMISS Leadership Team. Steven Voytovich was elected Chair-elect, Carole Collins, treasurer, Selana Fox and Mario Ceballos, members-at-large. They join the other members of the team which include Stephen Brandow, secretary, Russell Davis, CCAPS chair and Clyde Angel, Spiritual Care Week chair.
